   MOBILE TASK FORCE   

 

 Foreign nationals infiltrate into Tripura through its porous borders and also through adjoining state of Assam. For prevention and detection of this human traffic, we have  Mobile Task Force which was raised in  1975.

 

Mobile Task Force, apart from detecting infiltrators and pushing them back,  performs the  following tasks :-

  • Conducts inquiry  about foreign nationals entering India with valid travel documents, but overstaying their visit or disappearing from the addresses given in their visas;

  • Conducts inquiry relating to the involvement of foreign nationals suspected in criminal activities;
  • Conducts inquiry about the status of nationality of a person prior to issue of a Citizenship Certificate.

The staff of Mobile Task force are posted in the following 10 Prevention of Infiltration of Foreigners (PIF) camps throughout the State :-

1. WEST DISTRICT :-

  1. Agartala.
  2. Narsingarh.
  3. Sundartilla.(Near Brahma Kunda)
  4. Khowai.
  5. Sonamura.
  6. Kamalasagar.

II NORTH DISTRICT.

  1. Dharmanagar.
  2. Kailasahar.

III. SOUTH DISTRICT.

  1. Belonia.

IV. DHALAI DISTRICT.

  1. Kamalpur.

The following number of people of Bangladesh were detected and pushed back to Bangladesh by MTF during the last 15 years-
